Since the computer user doesn’t typically use audio CD’s, there is now a format that combines MP3 (containing the music) and CDG (the graphical lyrics). The most common is CDG format, which includes the lyrics in graphical format on Audio CD’s. Audio Karaoke files are popular using several formats. I'm not an expert with Karaoke, but here is what the help files say about CDG files with Band in a Box. Jo #140408 - 12/12/11 07:21 AM Band-in-a-Box for Windows Re: Make karaoke CDG files. I dont feel like buying two pices of software. (I am currently using use Winamp plus a CDG Plug in to play my exiting karaoke videos but I would like to make videos of my new stuff, plus put chords into the old stuff.) I do know I can buy Karaoke CD+G Creator from power but that software does not seem show the chords from MP3 files (which is also handy). I want to put all my lyrics and chords into CDG files that will play Karaoke style whilst I am performing. Is it possible to make CDG video files using either Band in a Box or Real Band (I am still not sure of the difference between the two). Still looking at Band in a box/ Real Band.
